What is CLP Regulation ? ✔ It is the new European Regulation on Classification,

What is CLP Regulation ? ✔ It is the new European Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of chemical substances and mixtures. ✔ CLP is about the hazards of chemical substances and mixtures and how to inform others about them. ✔ CLP will completely replace the actual Dangerous Substance Directive until June 2015

What is changing ? The most important is the change in the labeling symbols

What is changing ? The most important is the change in the labeling symbols : Instead of the hazard symbols with black printing on orange rectangles, now nine hazard pictogramms are used to provide warnings. Symbols Pictograms The previous nomenclature : toxic, irritant, corosive… has been replaced by two “signals words” : Danger or Warning R and S sentences have been replaced by H and P (Hazard and Precautionary)
