Our Virginian Government has finally realized that a lack of investing in quality technology education has greatly impacted the education of the students in your classroom. They have adopted new state technology standards and now you're expected to integrate them! Great! Just one more thing we have to teach! Is the time, effort, and money really worth it?

You MUST adapt No longer can we as educators assume that students will learn through our “tried and true” methods. We need to learn the language of the students so that we can teach them or wait until they are adults and pray that they will educate themselves.

Don’t feel you have to do it alone! I am not just one more

Don’t feel you have to do it alone! I am not just one more person coming into your room to harass you…. I have a specific purpose and a definite job description. Instructional technology resource teachers (ITRTs) provide on-site and on demand assistance for fellow teachers to create different forms of learning and teaching with the help of technologies. They seek to improve student learning by showing teachers the thoughtful applications and best practices of these new tools.
