Divisions 3 -4 th grade – Minor 5 -6 th grade – Elementary 7 -8 th grade – Middle 9 -10 th grade – Junior 11 -12 th grade – Senior Players compete within a division

Tournament Format 5 players form a team Players are ranked by their performance and compete by ranking in school, i. e. , 1 st player vs. 1 st from a different school Player’s individual scores add up to form a team score National tournament also have individual score ranking

Northville Academic Games Team Parent-run program Currently in all NPS schools: combined Elementary schools, Meads Mill, Hillside, Northville High School Approximately 130 students from 3 rd through 12 th grade Many state champions Several national champions (team, individual, and sweepstake) in different categories. Commitments - Students Practices twice a week, 1. 5 -2 hours each session Monthly regional tournaments in southeast Michigan on Saturday mornings Super (State) Tournament, 3 weekdays in March (school field trip) National teams may meet more often from March through April National Tournament, end of April Friday-Monday (school field trip)

Commitments - Parents Drop off or pick up students from practices and tournaments Volunteer for one or more jobs such as organizing game sets, assisting practice sessions, clean up rooms, team coordinators, school coordinators Chaperone for Super Tournament (3 -day overnight event) Chaperone for National Tournament (5 -day overnight event for qualified state participants) All coaches are parents State/National teams may hold extra practices
