What is a Health Promoting School? ‘ Health Promoting Schools are schools which display, in everything they say and do, support and commitment to enhancing the emotional, social, physical and moral wellbeing of their school community. ’ (World Health Organisation)

Silver Standard ‘Maintaining and Developing Health Promoting Schools’ • Maintain requirements for Health Promoting Schools Bronze Standard Accreditation • Implement and monitor an annual action and evaluation plan based on the needs identified (address a further three health and wellbeing priority areas) and demonstrate improvements • Include pandemic planning in the Health and Safety, Workplace and Emergency Management Plan • Strengthen parent/whanau engagement
