Woodstock 1. Woodstock is the name of the town that the concert was originally suppose to be held in. 2. Organizers were kicked out of the original venue, so a farmer named Max offered his 600 acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York for $75, 000. 3. Organizers pre-sold 186, 000 tickets at $6 a day and then told Bethel authorities they were expecting 50, 000 people. 4. Five inches of rain in just three hours on the first day made the other three days a mudfest!

Jimi Hendrix ended the weekend on Monday, August 18 th in the morning at 9: 00 am with his impromtue rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.
