Myth “Reading the Bible is really not all that important. ” Truth You will never know how to please God if you do not know Him well, and you will never know Him well unless you allow him to teach you about Himself through His Word.

Different ways to study the Bible • Read one chapter in the book of Proverbs each day. There are 31 chapters in this book. Read the one that corresponds to the day of the month. For example, on the first of the month read Proverbs 1, on the second day read Proverbs 2, etc. • B Read verse by verse through the Bible by reading a portion of the Old Testament, followed by a portion of the New Testament. Try to read through the Bible in a year. • C Study one book of the Bible at a time. Many find the book of John a good place to start.
