Teamwork. It’s not always easy. But it’s the key to success. This is what some students have said about TEAMWORK: But they also said: ü You get helped by your classmates ü You have a laugh ü It makes things easier working as a team • Having to work with people I don’t like • Yelling and arguing • Not being listened to ü You get a lot more done • Having to do all the work ü Others have great ideas Teamwork is an essential life skill. You will never score a goal without getting a pass from someone else.

Teamwork skills – how do we make a team work? There is no “I” in the TEAM – you need to pay close attention to others. You will need teamworking skills: • Communication • Responsibility • Honesty • Active listening • Empathy • Support skills “None of us is as smart as all of us” Ken Blanchard
A prayer for togetherness God, grant us the patience to work together, bring us all together as a family. Let us work together with understanding and compassion in our hearts. Let us not be rude or arrogant towards one another, as we light the way to your Heavenly Kingdom. Amen.

How to improve your teamwork skills? Learn to see things from different perspectives. Know your own strengths and weaknesses – are you full of ideas? Well organised? Good at motivating others? Learning to deal with these things will help you GROW AS A PERSON and gain in CONFIDENCE. FRIENDS and FAMILIES are also TEAMS so learning good teamwork skills can help you in all areas of your life. Be assertive, not aggressive. Think of others’ needs as well as yours.
