What changes at conversion?
Conversion • Means change. • Like a transformer, or converting a room • Typically, it is big and noticeable • When one is saved, they are converted. Acts 3: 19 • When we are converted, what changes?
A change of heart • Not the fleshly blood pump, though it is the word, καρδία, (kardia) • The heart is who we are deep down. It is how we think and reason (Matthew 9: 4, Mark 2: 6) • Proverbs 4: 23 • Related to belief – Romans 10: 9 -10 Conversion
A change of heart • The heart controls what we do and say – Matthew 12: 34 -35 • We must keep our hearts pure Matthew 5: 8, 1 Peter 1: 22 • We call on the Lord with a pure heart – 2 Timothy 2: 22 Conversion

A change of Mind • Related to the heart, the mind is how we think and reason. • But it deals with our thought process (e. g. worldviews, presuppositions, attitudes, etc. ) • The worldly set their minds on the things of the flesh, Romans 8: 5 -8, Philippians 3: 18 -19, 1 Corinthians 2: 14 Conversion
A change of Mind • When we are converted, our minds change • We must change the way we think! • Colossians 3: 1 -2 • 2 Corinthians 10: 4 -5 • Romans 12: 2, renew the spirit of your mind Conversion
A change of Life • When our hearts and minds our converted, our life will be changed. • We now live differently! • Repentance – 2 Corinthians 7: 9 -10, Acts 3: 19, 2: 38 – a change of mind that leads to a change in action • Luke 15: 18 -20, consider the prodigal son Conversion

We are different and that difference is very real! • Much like one who has overcome addiction – change is very apparent and affects everything in their life. • Its not enough to change your heart and mind. You MUST act on it! Conversion
