The Connection between the two processes… The reactants (what a plant needs) of photosynthesis

The Connection between the two processes… The reactants (what a plant needs) of photosynthesis are the products of respiration. The reactants of respiration are the products (what is made) of photosynthesis! They are OPPOSITE equations!!

What happens if your cells don’t have enough oxygen to perform respiration? ?

Fermentation Have you ever felt a burning sensation in your leg muscles while you

Fermentation Have you ever felt a burning sensation in your leg muscles while you were running? When muscle cells can’t get the oxygen needed for cellular respiration, they use the process of fermentation to get energy. One kind of fermentation happens in your muscles and produces lactic acid. The buildup of lactic acid contributes to muscle fatigue and causes a burning sensation. This kind of fermentation also happens in the muscle cells of other animals and in some fungi and bacteria. Another type of fermentation occurs in some types of bacteria and in yeast.

Fermentation is a way that cells get energy from food without using oxygen.

Fermentation is a way that cells get energy from food without using oxygen. Causes lactic acid to build up Fermentation- Lactic acid build up causes muscle fatigue and causes a burning Recap sensation Makes LESS energy than Cellular Respiration Fermentation in YEAST is what causes bread to rise!
