What are the 4 assessment objectives you are getting marked at for your GCSE?
Assessment objectives • A 01 – Artist research, Exploring relevant artists and photographers that look at similar themes or techniques to your own artwork and projects. Also creating Artist copies practicing the artists style and techniques. • A 02 – Experimentation, Working with a wide range of media such as paint, pencil, coloured pencil, sculpture, photography. As well as different techniques using the same type of media such as line drawing, tonal drawing, expressive drawing ect. • A 03 – Record your own ideas through observational drawing that are relevant to your projects. Working from own photographs, real life objects ect rather than copying and artists work. • A 04 – Relevant and meaningful final piece.
Independent learning – after looking at the assessment objectives which one do you think you need to improve the most and focus on. Choose which one you will focus on and choose a task to help improve it, below are some example: • A 01 – find relevant artists online (you need a minimum of 2) copy examples of their work onto word or powerpoint and write a short evaluation of their work and how it links to your own. Create a direct artist copy of a piece of their work in your chosen media. • A 02 – Create some relevant drawings using different types of media such as pencil, pen, paint. (If you are at home, you could use makeup, coffee and water to create paint) • A 03 – Create some observational drawings using relevant objects or people. Or take some relevant photos and draw them using different types of media. They could be quick timed drawings or more detailed drawings. • A 04 – Create a detailed plan of 3 different possible final pieces considering the composition, materials used, size. Then create a detailed plan of your 1 chosen final design.
