§ The Sabbath was Given to Israel: § First mention of the Sabbath. Exodus 16: 22 -26 § Later it was codified in the Law of Moses. Exodus 20: 8 -11 § The Law of Moses (which includes the Sabbath command) was given only to Israel.
§ The Sabbath was Given to Israel: § Deuteronomy 5: 2 -3 “The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. The LORD did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today. ” § Psalm 147: 20 “He declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances to Israel. He has not dealt thus with any nation; And as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Praise the LORD!”
