Admissions Criteria: All n Evidence of aptitude for graduate study n Liberal arts base (with specific need for: (GPA for last 60 credit hours in undergraduate program and GPA for any graduate courses) undergraduate preparation in human biology, political science, and writing) n n Must be completed before students start the MSW program Work and life experience Personal maturity Leadership ability
Admissions Criteria: Advancedstanding Programs n n n B. S. W. degree from a CSWE accredited program within six years of application Overall undergraduate GPA of 3. 0 No more than one BSW course below a B (Any BSW course below a B will require retaking an equivalent course in the MSW curriculum)
Admissions Criteria: Advancedstanding Programs n n One of the three letters of reference must be from the applicant’s BSW field instructor or faculty liaison Diversify your letters of recommendation

Liberal Arts Requirements You will need a copy of your own transcripts to review and document n n Review each requirement Document the university, course # and course name for each requirement. May be admitted without completing all LA requirements Must complete them before start program
Application Completed n n All materials must be received by the deadline or will not be considered for admission That means the social work application, all 3 references, completed statement, resume, field application (if appropriate), WMU application, and MSW application fee
