Repentance is … • • A change of mind. A turn. An event. A journey.

WHY SHOULD I REPENT?

WHY SHOULD I REPENT? I. Because Jesus loves you.

Isaiah 53: 5 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53: 12 c. . . He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Romans 4: 25 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 5: 8 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 b 3. . . Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures

2 Corinthians 5: 21 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Galatians 3: 13 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole. "

1 Timothy 2: 1 -4 1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

WHY SHOULD I REPENT? I. Because Jesus loves you. II. Because Jesus loves others. III. Because Jesus is coming back.

Acts 3: 19 -22 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Matthew 25: 31 -34 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Matthew 25: 41, 46 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. ” 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. ”

2 Peter 3: 9 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
