Physical Wellness: ➔ taking proper care of our bodies so that our bodies can function properly and optimally. ➔being able to complete daily activities without extreme fatigue or physical stress and avoiding destructive habits (sedentary behavior, drugs, alcohol, tobacco).
Social Wellness ➔the ability to relate and connect with other people, at work, at home, in our neighborhoods, etc. ➔building and maintaining positive relationships that add value to our and other people’s lives.
Emotional Wellness: ➔an awareness, understanding, and acceptance of your emotions, and your ability to manage effectively through challenges and change. ➔Living well despite problems, through all of the many ups and downs of life.
Environmental Wellness: ➔inspires us to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. ➔to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it.
Spiritual Wellness: ➔our ability to establish peace and harmony in our lives. ➔to be fulfilled by what we do by aligning our values with our actions.
Intellectual Wellness: ➔active participation in scholastic, cultural, and community activities. ➔it expands knowledge and skills in order to live a stimulating, successful life.
School/Occupational Wellness: ➔the ability to achieve a balance between work and leisure time, addressing school/workplace stress and building relationships with peers/coworkers. ➔It inspires us to prepare for work in which we will gain personal satisfaction and find enrichment in our life.
