Time How do we know that it is an o’clock time? The minute hand is pointing at 12 and the hour hand is pointing at the hour How do we know it is a half past time? The minute hand will be pointing at 6, and the hour hand is half way in between two hours How do we know it is a quarter past time? The minute hand will be pointing at the 3 and the hour hand will have just gone past the hour How do we know it is a quarter to time? The minute hand will be pointing at the 9 and the hour hand will be on its way to the hour
