Boat vs. Beach 1. A beach dive is a more physical activity. 2. You will descend 72 steps after a 3 -block walk from Laguna Sea Sports. 3. The beach will have waves that you will be required to move through safely. 4. Once you are complete with your dives, you will need to ascend the 72 -steps and conduct an uphill 3 -block walk with your equipment on your back. 5. You will need to bring snacks and drinks. If you feel that this is not a suitable option for you to try, you may want to consider boat diving! Photo credit: Chob Scuba

Boat vs. Beach 1. Have knee problems? You can do seated entries here! 2. You will meet your equipment on the boat. 3. You have about ten steps on a level boat deck to get to the aft to start your dive. 4. You will conduct a giant stride from the boat. 5. Upon return, you will hand your fins up and be assisted by a Dive Master onto the boat. 6. Snacks and drinks are provided for FREE! Obviously, this requires less effort, is generally safer than beach diving and gives you a beautiful day of boat diving in Southern California. If this option is for you, it is $120 per two dives!

Importance of Owning A Dive Computer First and foremost, what is a dive computer?

Importance of Owning A Dive Computer First and foremost, what is a dive computer? Some dive computers look a bit like chunky digital wristwatches, others like tethered consoles – regardless of design, these tools are so much more than just time keepers. Dive computers help you keep nitrogen levels within acceptable limits. Dive computers are the far more convenient and versatile option because they constantly track your depth and time while you are underwater and between dives.

All scuba gear should be rinsed in clean, fresh water after every dive. Regulator

All scuba gear should be rinsed in clean, fresh water after every dive. Regulator The number one rule when washing your regulator is to ensure that the regulator's dust cap is clean, dry, and securely in place before dunking or washing with freshwater. BCD Completely submerge it in fresh water and dunk it up and down several times until all salt water and dry salt crystals have been washed away. Dive Computer and Camera Rinse each thoroughly, allow to soak if possible and allow to dry completely away from the sun. Be sure to dry completely before opening the camera housing. Mask, Fins and Snorkel Submerge in fresh water, dunk up and down until clean and hang up to dry. Wetsuit, Drysuit, Booties and Gloves Use wetsuit soap to disinfect/deodorize items as needed. Turn neoprene items inside out to dry, and hang drysuits head-down from the boots if possible.
