How will your child learn to write? We have handwriting sessions at least twice a week. Teachers model the letters and then children are encouraged to have a go. We also do fine motor skills activities to strengthen the muscles in children’s hands. We don’t start teaching joined up/ cursive handwriting until your child is ready and usually this is in year two. We use the rhymes to go with RWI. https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=4 T_EE 6 Pc.
