Attendance • Government expectation = 96% (this allows for around 5 days of illness)

Attendance • Government expectation = 96% (this allows for around 5 days of illness) • Research shows that there is a direct correlation between the amount of time absent and children’s attainment • There are 13 weeks school holidays; this is when family holiday should be booked • No authorisation of holidays in term time • Unauthorised absence during term time may be followed up by the local authority

If your concern is relating to a member of staff please report this in confidence to a member of the Child Protection Team who can refer the matter to the Head teacher and/or school governing body, who can then consider which course of action needs to be taken.
