Welcome to Year 2 2019 -20

Curriculum *Daily English and Maths sessions. *Mastery Maths-split sessions with intervention if required. *Daily Phonics *Daily SPa. G *Science *Geography, History, Art and D&T will be taught through these themes: ‘Travelling Through Time’ ‘Famous People’ ‘Under the Sea’ Please refer to medium term plans on the website for more information.

Homework The Learning Logs will be sent home on a Friday Please return these the following Thursday. Times tables are also sent home on a Friday. These will be tested the following Friday and results sent home. Spellings will be sent home on a Monday and will be tested on Friday. My Maths

Home/School Library Monday: Y 2 MP/Y 2 P Please return your child’s book bag every week, if possible to swap their reading book. Feel free to share any comments about your child’s reading in their learning logs.

Swimming Tuesday Afternoons: Y 2 MP/ Y 2 P We would ask any parents who may be available to help at those times to come and support us – without your help we may not be able to swim.
