Based Lessons Options for receiving this training: Annual CCR Standards-in-Action Cohort: Two 2 -day institutes (1 fall, 1 spring), kickoff & wrap up webinars, implementation tasks between meetings) Prerequisite: Part I, CCRS Foundations for ELA or Math After 2017: Individual training modules (workshop + follow-up) for training components
CCRS COHORT TRAINING • CCRS Foundations training is a prerequisite to participation in all advanced CCRS training: • Intro to CCRS online course • Summer Institute pre-conference workshops • Current adult diploma pilots (1 & 2) are receiving this training this year • All future adult diploma programs will need to go through CCRS cohort training prior to launch • Face-to-face cohort meeting dates: • Oct. 6 -7, 2016 • Feb. 23 -24, 2017 (tentative) • Application for FY 17 cohort available by May, due June, announced July

GED SCORE CHANGE IMPLEMENTATION Estimated 300 new GED Diplomas will be issued! Timeline • Effective January 1, 2014 • Accepted by Minnesota last week • MN age waiver being revised, need a “Likely to Pass” GED Ready score (145+) • GEDTS sending retroactive passers to MDE on March 2, 2016 • MDE can start processing and sending retroactive GED diplomas on March 3, 2016
RETROACTIVE GED PASSERS Tip: Make sure retroactive GED passers update their email and mailing address in their My. GED account! Retroactive GED test passers that need verification prior to March 3 need to log into their My. GED account and request verification directly from GEDTS!
SOCIAL STUDIES TEST CHANGE Starting March 1, 2016, the extended response portion of the Social Studies GED Test will be eliminated. • Social Studies Test time will be reduced by 15 minutes (but extended response was timed for 20 -25 minutes) • Until March 1, extended response will be a scored part of the Social Studies GED Test.
