Proof of Residence ALL parents must update HAC and provide proof of residence.

All About Arrival Parents may walk their child to the classroom on the first day only.

Dismissal Please specify how your child goes home on the green dismissal card before you leave tonight! A parent note is required if your child will be going home a different way than what is listed on the dismissal form. If an emergency arises, you must call the office before 2: 45. No changes may be made after that time.

Snack Attack Examples of some healthy snacks include but are not limited to: -goldfish, pretzels, dry cereal, cut up fruit/ vegetables, granola bars, crackers, etc. -A water bottle is fine; no other beverages.

Hooray for the Howl! Important school procedures and helpful parent information are detailed in the E- Howl newsletter. Check Timbers website for details or sign up tonight. It is best to keep informed!

Sign up for Remind 101 is a one way text messaging system. All personal information remains completely confidential. Teachers can text you important information, but you will never see their phone number and they will not see yours.

Wonderful Words Their Way Students will be placed in leveled spelling groups. Each group will have their own set of words for the week. The weekly spelling homework format will be posted in their spelling notebook or BEE book.

Hit a Home Run with Homework! Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday. This typically includes: -Reading for 15 minutes (record in planner) -Math -Spelling

Don’t Strike Out Missing homework results in missing recess.

Tuesday Folders Tuesday folders go home in the BEE Book each week. Look for a conduct sheet, graded assignments and important school info. Please review, sign, and return on Wednesday.

BEE Book Bring Everything Everyday The Third Grade Bee Book will be sent home and returned every day.

Conduct Cards Conduct Work Habits Warning Conduct Mark Work Habit Mark 2 marks/day = miss part of recess 3 marks/day = Detention 6 marks/week = Detention UParents will have this feedback daily in the BEE Book.

Positive Behavior Our school and the third grade team has developed a system of rewards to encourage positive behaviors: Classroom Rewards Hallway tickets that reinforce school expectations Individual student rewards through signature cards ~Students can shop at the signature store!~ Cafeteria Rewards for “Staying on Green”!

Detention Details After school 3: 30 -4: 30. You will be notified prior to the date. Parents are responsible for transportation. Being assigned a 2 nd detention becomes an office referral.
