What is a Chartering Ceremony? A ceremony to establish a new SHRM chapter. This ceremony and installation means that the chapter has fulfilled the requirements necessary with National SHRM and Penn State World Campus. It is a way to congratulate and recognize all involved in this achievement!

Closing Thoughts 21 SHRM Student Membership Benefits • Network NOW for jobs before graduation – don’t wait until graduation time or your last semester. • Even if you have to live on peanut butter sandwiches, ride the bus, or live at home, do internships. • Manage your expectations. Some graduates balk at the type of work they’re expected to do when they start out. Don’t expect $50, 000 because you have a degree. Most entry-level HR jobs pay in the low $30 s or less.
