COMMUNITY CONSULTING CLUB Application Process z Everyone must fill out an application to be staffed on a project y Applications available on website (http: //webuser. bus. umich. edu/Organizations/Community. Consulting/ ) y Application Fee = $10 (to cover cost of training binders) y Attach resume to application (for background purposes only) z Rank top the three projects that you want to work on y Project descriptions available on the website y Best effort staffing based on project demand skill requirements y Application = commitment to work on any CCC project z Potential team leaders will be interviewed by CCC Officers y Informal interview to validate leadership abilities (not consulting experience) y Interviews on September 21 - 23 y Sign up for interview slots in the CCC display case near the Student Lounge z Teams will be announced via e-mail on Sunday, September 25 th. COMMUNITY CONSULTING CLUB Project Execution z Individual teams determine the scope of the project

COMMUNITY CONSULTING CLUB Project Execution z Individual teams determine the scope of the project with their organizations y Documented in a formal Letter of Engagement y Scope should be equivalent to agreed commitment level • For example, 5 person team should commit to at least 200 hours of work z Project status will be monitored by VP-Operations using deliverable milestones y y y Draft LOE: Friday, October 7 th Final LOE: Friday, October 14 th Draft Deliverable: Wednesday, November 23 rd Final Presentation “Practice”: Week of November 28 th Final Presentation/Deliverable: Friday, December 9 th z Additional assistance available from VP-Operations on an ad-hoc basis y Advice on how to complete a deliverable, resolve team issues, etc. y Schedule meetings with either Gheorghe or Matt (“office hours”) CCC Info Sessions – September, 2005 7
