Our Behavior System We are now starting the day with all children’s names on the ‘ready to learn’ square. The children have two opportunities to move their name up to the ‘Good Choices’ and ‘Superstar’ squares during the day for positive behaviour. They also have two opportunities to move their name down to the ‘Think about it’ and ‘Timeout’ squares during the day for negative behaviour. Timeout will consist of the child having a few minutes to calm down and reflect on their behaviour and return to being ‘ready to learn’. The children will also have the chance to have a personal postcard sent home if their behaviour has been above and beyond. This will be written by the class teacher and will be a fantastic way to celebrate the children’s fantastic behaviour with adults at home.
Our Class Timetable
What do you need to bring to school? Please send your child to school with these things: A plastic lunch box and drink bottle. We need to sanitize these at the start of the day. Please do not send material lunch boxes as these cannot be sanitized properly. A drawstring or small bag. This is only to carry a lunchbox if needed. There is no need to bring pencil cases or anything else to school. A pair of trainers or plimsolls. We are not currently changing into full PE kit for PE lessons. The children will only be changing their foot wear so that they are safe when joining in with PE.
Home Learning We are currently not sending homework home with the children. Here is a list of websites with lots of educational games that the children enjoy: If you wish to complete work with your child at home then it is always a great idea to practise their time tables. In Year 4 we will be focusing on our 6, 7 and 9 time tables. https: //www. topmarks. co. uk/ https: //www. timestables. co. uk/ https: //www. typingclub. com/ https: //code. org/ https: //www. bbc. co. uk/bitesize
