Sub. Finder Absence Reporting For School-Based Staff v All absences must be reported even if a sub is not needed v All school-based personnel need to report their absences through Sub. Finder (not temporary employees) v Absences should be reported as soon as possible. If less than 1 hour before job start time, please contact Sub Coordinator, Mel Allbright at 541 -1301 v Only report your work hours. The system defaults to a full school day. If you are not a full time employee, specify your work hours. v Absences must comply with Meet and Confer. Mandatory Trainings Federal and State laws require school district employees to be trained on topics related to the workplace and students. Ø Kyrene offers this training online. Ø Mandatory Training Modules include Sexual Harassment, Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting, Bullying, and Bloodborne Pathogens, among others Ø Employee trainings are accessed through the i. Visions Portal Ø 5 to 10 minutes to complete each module Ø Training Modules are completed by all employees annually and for new employees during the first 30 days of employment A district of excelling schools

Meet & Confer Authorized Absences Employees accrue approximately twelve (12) day/96 hours per year

Meet & Confer Authorized Absences Employees accrue approximately twelve (12) day/96 hours per year of Authorized Absences, prorated to FTE. • Sick days – Seven (7) days will be designated for Sick Days • Personal days – Five (5) days will be designated for Personal Days • Bereavement days –Three (3) days per annum Personal Days may not be used on Blackout days are as follows: • First five (5) instructional days of school • The first instructional day of each quarter • The day prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday • AIMS testing dates (excluding makeup testing) • Last two (2) instructional days of the school year A district of excelling schools
