Welcome to the DRA 2 Do Now: • Brainstorm a list of what good readers do. You may work with a partner or small group.
DRA 2 • Why do we utilize the DRA? • What does the DRA provide to a classroom teacher? • What might the DRA 2 assess?
DRA 2 • DRA 2 offers a method for assessing and documenting primary students’ development as readers over time. • DRA 2 provides teachers with information that helps them determine each student’s instructional and/or independent reading level and identify what the student needs to learn. • DRA 2 assess reading engagement, oral reading fluency, and comprehension.
