Alice Thalheimer Past President 1978 -1980 “I am so thankful and proud to see CCWC continue to grow in outreach and concerns for others. In 1971, a group of women decided to create a new club, the Clearwater Community Woman’s Club. This club was created to extend, and donate, services and monies to organizations and groups that serve the community, and to give the membership experiences for personal growth. Today CCWC continues to give its members the opportunities to serve the needs of others, meet new people and attend programs for learning and awareness. May we continue to grow in friendship and service. Visitors are always welcomed, and membership is open to all. ”
Jo. Anne Roby Past President 2013 -2015 “I have always been interested in serving my community. I found the perfect opportunity in Clearwater Community Woman's Club and in the larger GFWC organization which we are a part of. We are able to touch many needs in our community and I have always been proud of how much we get done. From the grants we give out each year supporting local organizations to the impact we make when we join forces with our sister clubs, the impact is very impressive. The club offers multiple opportunities to serve, to grow in leadership, and to meet and make new friends. I can't emphasize this latter enough; when you work with someone on a committee, you have fun and really get to know each other. And believe me, if you are in need, your sister club members will be there for you. I'm so glad I became a part of this club. ”
Lucile Casey Past President 2015 -2017 “I am proud to be a member of the largest women's volunteer organization in the world. Moreover, the fact that GFWC founded public libraries is paramount to our access to reading and resources. The training of leaders from age 12 beginning with Juniorettes through 90 s with some of our still active members is a symbol of true diversity and loyalty. The volunteer hours given to the community cannot be matched with real dollars; plus, the personal touch is much more valuable. In addition, lifelong friendships are formed among our members who are there to help each other. I am truly honored to belong to this prestigious organization that gives much to our community. ”
Kay Estock Past President 2017 -2019 “When I retired from teaching, I knew that I still wanted to make a contribution to society. CCWC has given me that opportunity. Through many, different, volunteer activities, our members help to make a difference in the lives of others. Additionally, CCWC enables us to grow personally and intellectually and to explore our interests through our Community Service Programs. Each member is an essential piece in our organization, and we are stronger because of each person’s unique talents. I am always impressed by our members’ dedication, kindness and generosity, as well as their constant support for each other. There is one word that best describes the members of CCWC : WOW! – What Outstanding Women they are!”
Susan Luce President 2019 -2021 "The women of CCWC have a heart for our community. They give their time, money, energy and enthusiasm to make our community a better place. I love being a part of such a dynamic group of women, who together can do more than any one of us can do alone. "
We are women making a difference in the community and we’d love to have you join us!
