Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between a packaged and a split HVAC system? A packaged system has all components located in one cabinet or in a “package”. A split system has one part outside (compressor & fan) and another part located inside (air handler, coils and/or heat exchanger) What is the difference between packaged gas, packaged heat pump and packaged dual fuel? A packaged gas unit is packaged unit which includes AC only as well as a gas furnace. A dual fuel packaged unit includes a heat pump (can operate in heating or cooling), and also includes a gas furnace. W electric heat kit is not available for the IDP 3 T. ‒ There are common part numbers for IDP 3 T and 5 T electric heat kits. ‒ You cannot use IDS Electric Heat Kits on IDP! ‒ These EH Kits can be installed single or dual point. ‒ Refer to IOM for breaker size and installation instructions. In Bosch offering manufacturer provided curbs or frames? No, curbs, curb adaptors, and frames must be provided/fabricated by the distributor.
