(Don’t shout out) • Once we call on you, ask your question. • Wait until we respond to your question before you began to talk. We want to hear your questions, but we can only answer one question at a time.

Moving from Class to Class • You will be switching for ELA, Math, Sci/SS, and RTI math and ELA. • When you are told by the teacher to switch, you line up at a 0 level! • You wait at the door or designated spot until a teacher tells you to enter. • Sometimes directions are given in the hall, so you must be at a ZERO level! • Then follow the entering the classroom procedures.

Exiting the room • Make sure that the desk is cleaned of any materials.

Standing in line • Always look ahead of you • Standing in line is NOT THE TIME TO TALK WITH FRIENDS OR OTHERS THAT PASS YOU BY. • Always make sure you are at a ZERO level (SILENT), you need to be able to listen to the instructions.

Fire Drills/Lockdown • If there is a fire drill, you stand up and push in your chair and move towards the door (all done SILENTLY) 0 LEVEL • When the teacher says it is okay to exit, you go into the hall and follow the route to outside. • When outside, you must still be SILENT so you and the teacher can hear further instructions if necessary.

Visitors or the Phone Ringing • If someone comes to the door to speak to the teacher, please remain quiet and on task • If the telephone rings, the same procedure would take place • It can be very difficult to hear if everybody else is talking and making noise

While in the hall by YOURSELF • If you need to use the bathroom or go to the nurse or run an errand for a teacher, then you need to be a model student in the hall. • That means: NO running, NO shouting, NO fooling around, NOT making stops to talk to a friend • You are to walk SILENTLY to your destination and back • DO NOT ruin the hall pass

You will be able to learn in a classroom that is caring and respectful.
