Class Dojo 4 4 th Grade uses Class Dojo as our behavior program. Points will be given for positive behaviors and deducted for negative behaviors. 4 Weekly percentages are used for conduct grades. 4 We use this as our primary communication with you.

Specials Schedule 4 Specials rotate on a 10 day cycle. 4 A Specials schedule is posted in our classroom. 4 We have PE on set days. Students are expected to wear the appropriate shoes for PE on those days. Movement days will be most Mondays.

Late Work/Absent Work: Late work – 10 points a day with a maximum of 30 points. Work will be accepted within 3 days after due date (not to exceed grading period). 4 Make-up work (2 days for every excused absence) 4

Corrections 4 Students will have the opportunity to correct only summative assessments in class. In this situation the teacher will record the average of the two grades earned for the student. 4 Original answers should not be erased. Students will make corrections next to the missed question in a different color or on another sheet of paper.

Report Card and Progress Report: 4 Progress report available through Tx. Connect every 3 weeks 4 Report Card available through Tx. Connect every 9 weeks 4 Grades can be viewed online at any time. 4 Alerts can be set for grade notifications. 4 Go to www. scuc. txed. net and click on the TXConnect – follow the steps online.

The Breakdown: 4 Language Arts: Grammar/Writing = 50% Phonics/Spelling = 50% 4 Reading: Daily Work/ Homework = 50% Quizzes, Projects, & Tests = 50%

Birthday Treats: 4 Donuts, cupcakes, and water bottles 4 4 4 are the only acceptable treats. Treats will be passed out at the end of the day. Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you plan to send a treat. Please include enough for everyone, and send whatever is needed (napkins, plates, etc. ). All treats must be store bought with the nutrition label attached. Any leftover treats will not be sent home.

Attendance Our weekly goal is 97% Valuable instruction time is lost when students are absent.
