The School Timetables for all students throughout the Academy follow a two – week

The School Timetables for all students throughout the Academy follow a two – week cycle. This means that instead of listing the same set of lessons per week, students’ timetables will instead list two weeks’ worth of lessons. To differentiate between each, the first week is 'week A' and the second is 'week B'. After 10 school days of lessons, the cycle begins with week 1 again. There are five lessons per day, with each lesson lasting an hour. Afternoon registration is 13. 30 – 13. 40 pm. The first bell goes at 8. 25 am by which time all students should already be in school. Any student who arrives after the bell will have a 20 minute detention at lunch time. Uniform, Appearance & Equipment The Academy Uniform is a very important indicator of high standards in the Academy. All students are expected to wear all items of school uniform including a blazer and to be correctly dressed, in the Academy, on the way to and from the Academy and at lunchtime. Students must wear blazers at all time around school, except when permission has been given in the classroom for them to be removed. Students may not wear items of clothing that are not part of the official school uniform (apart from outer coat) without the permission of the principal. All students are expected to bring a bag for their equipment to school each day. Equipment should include pen, pencil, ruler, planner and any other equipment needed for lessons. NO YES

Students may not have their heads shaved (the minimum length allowed is a number 2) or wear extreme hair styles/colours/fashions of any sort. No tramlines in hair. If parents are unsure about any hairstyle please contact the Academy. No lines in eyebrows are permitted. NO Jewellery – Students may wear an inexpensive watch. No earrings of any type, no body jewellery/piercing are allowed (nose, tongue, lip, eyebrow) NO makeup or false tan – NO students can wear make up (including pencilled on eyebrows) it will be removed before entering the Academy in the mornings. (Baby wipes are provided). Students will be in Isolation ….

PE/Dance Kit Students must have their correct PE/Dance kit for EVERY lesson. The list for correct PE/Dance kit is below: Compulsory PE Kit Optional PE Kit • Stockport Academy Polo Shirt • Black Stockport Academy hoodie • Plain Black shorts or Jogging bottoms • Black gloves and hat for winter when • Black Football Socks outside • Appropriate footwear • Black skins • Gum shield (Rugby and Hockey) • Hand towel/plastic carrier bag (when • Shin Pads (Football and Hockey) raining) • Bobble for long hair. ALL students will be expected to sign an agreement at the beginning of the year agreeing to the rules of the PE department. • If a child is injured/unable to participate in PE, they must still bring their kit and a note. They will still partake in the lesson as a coach/official. • • • It is the PE teachers decision whether they get changed into kit or not due to health and safety reasons. If they do not bring their kit, even if they have a note to say they are unable to participate, they will be issued with a detention. Mobile phones are allowed to be brought to school for use to and from

Mobile phones are allowed to be brought to school for use to and from school but must be switched off and kept securely at all times whilst on the school premises. They should not be used in school at all unless given express permission by a member of staff. Parents must be contacted by the school phone system. If a mobile phone is used within the Academy it will be confiscated until a parent/carer can collect it from the Academy. Smoking is illegal on the Academy premises for everyone, any student caught smoking will be dealt with through the school’s disciplinary procedure.
