If this is your first ‘visit’ to Springfield, we hope you will find these slides helpful in showing you all the things that go on in school. We have two Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classes, often referred to as Reception.

Sammy our Reading Dog is often in school Sammy is a registered Pets as Therapy dog and comes in to work with some of our children.

School finishes at 3. 10 Please listen to your child read four times a week and sign their home reading record

Achievements go in the Gold book and are shared in our weekly Celebration Assemblies

We use Tapestry to share with parents what the children have been doing in school. Parents also share things with us via Tapestry. We use Tapestry to set homework tasks.

All infant children receive a free lunch but if you think you might be eligible for Pupil Premium Funding, please ask at the office for a form to complete as it may give you access to extra support with: • trips • uniform support • clubs • Y 6 residential

Springfield Ambassadors Our Y 6 children can apply to be an ambassador. They help show visitors round our school

Ø We are a cash free school Ø Payments for dinner money or trips etc are made online Ø Once your child starts school, you will receive an activation email from SIMS Pay to set up your account

Breakfast & After School Clubs These are open from 8 am and until 6 pm and are run by our own school staff and are very popular. Please contact Club Manager Mrs Churchett for information or to book a place. evechurchett@springfield-pri. essex. sch. uk Other activity clubs also run before and after school however we are unsure yet if clubs will be open in September.
