HISTORY Ø SMKN 1 Jakarta is the oldest vocational school in Indonesia. Ø Founded by A Dutch Government named Koning Klike Wilhemnia School ( KWS) in 1906. Ø The mission for this school/KWS is to prepare Indonesian and Dutch students to be a technician to build A Dutch East Indies Ø After Proclamation, Indonesian Government changed this school to Sekolah Teknik Menengah (STM) or Technical High School Ø At present STM becomes SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) or Vocational High School
