WHAT IS PARTICIPATION? Participation is working alongside individuals and groups to get their voices heard Participation is providing people with an opportunity to influence how we do things Participation is about being flexible and adapting accordingly Participation is about offering a diverse array of opportunities for people to get involved Participation is about recognising people are experts in their own right

PARTICIPATION AT SEA supports and enables participants to get involved in the services they receive. From chairing residents meetings to attending formal Board meetings. Offer training to people who wish to volunteer within services and organisations. Work in partnership with NTU and University of Nottingham to recruit, train and assess students on the BA and MA Social work degree courses.

WHY PARTICIPATION IS IMPORTANT Our greatest passion is in enabling people who use services to have a voice, We firmly believe that this is the best way to influence real and lasting change, at both a grassroots and strategic level. We also feel that by creating opportunities for involvement, individuals can grow and develop, take control of their own lives and make positive changes for themselves.
