Planners/Agendas § § § Student writes in them daily Should have an entry each school day Will list homework, test dates, and what is being taught in class

Tuesday Folders § Please do not remove any papers. § Please sign the purple sheet each Tuesday night after looking through papers. § All papers in front of divider will be current papers § All papers behind the divider will be previous papers § No papers to be removed until the end of the six weeks and only by the teacher § Corrections due by Friday

Homework § § Math (Mon, Tues, Wed) Science (as needed) Reading (Mon-Thurs) Spelling (Words given Monday, test every Friday) § Social Studies and English (as needed) § Studying for tests is considered homework

Late Work § § § 1 day late = 11 points deducted 2 days late = 22 points deducted 3 days = Zero in the gradebook

Corrections § Students may correct daily work (below a 70) for a maximum grade of 70 – Corrections should be done on a separate sheet of notebook paper – Student will need to rewrite question and correct answer for problems they missed – Corrections due by Friday § Test corrections will be done during study hall at the teacher’s selected date § Spelling test corrections-Write incorrect words 5 times each and return to teacher for a maximum grade of 70

Discipline/Behavior Plan § § Sign the book Consequences of 3 write-ups in one week Red sheet Effect on conduct grade 0 -2 E 3 -8 S 9 -14 N 15+ U

Consequences § § 1 st and 2 nd – Verbal warning 3 rd – Red note home 4 th – Phone call home 5 th – Office referral

STAAR Dates § Reading = April 2, 2014 § Math = April 1, 2014 § Science = April 23, 2014 § No writing for 5 th grade
