Homework Students are responsible for completing and returning homework the next day. Homework is very important to me, because it reinforces the skills we are teaching the students in class. If your child is having difficulty with homework, please encourage them to TRY the work on their own. My message is that students should be learning from mistakes. I would rather see what the students are having trouble with so I can adjust our teaching strategies. 13 ● Every student starts out with 100%, they lose 5 points for each missed homework assignment ● If the student chooses to make up the missed assignment, we will give 3 points back ● 5 missed homeworks during a Marking Period results in a detention
