• I will send home the book your child reads in Reading groups. If I do not read with your child’s group that day, he/she will bring home the book he read with me the day before. Sometimes the book your child brings home will seem “easy”, but remember he/she may have already read it to me at least once. Repetitive reading of a book encourages better fluency, as well. • A large part of your child’s reading grade is based on the reading done during Guided Reading. Please be sure your child reads nightly. • I will give you some ideas to help your child with reading at home. • For each reading book that is lost, you will be fined $8. 00.
