EXPLORING CAREERS & EMPLOYMENT • 6 th Grade Only Course • This course is designed to help students identify the careers that will best suit their personality and interest. It also gives the students an overview of how to find employment as well as what skills are needed in the business world. • Students will have an opportunity to explore career clusters, research different careers, and learn what options are available after high school. 3

FUNDAMENTALS OF BIOTECHNOLOGY • 7 th & 8 th Grade Course • Fundamentals of Biotechnology is a one semester course that introduces students to the diverse world of biotechnology; which is using life as a tool. • Students will learn about the ever-changing field of biotechnology through exploring the fundamental scientific concepts underlying biotechnology as well as industrial, health care and agricultural applications. 4

Virtual Learning Information ● ● Students are expected to engage during synchronous learning during their designated class time. Attendance will be taken. We will be using Canvas M-F. We will use Microsoft Teams for synchronous learning.
