A. ) Letcher High School (Eastern Kentucky) 5 th Grade math Formerly taught Kindergarten (1 year), 1 st Grade (16 years), and Reading Intervention (1 year) • 2 children: Logan and Emma • Married to Joe • 3 dogs: Twizzler, Chevy, and Fifi

What We’ll Learn This Year • Decimal place value to thousandths • Rounding decimals • Ordered pairs/coordinate system • Order of operations/ numerical expressions • Multiplication and division of multi-digit numbers • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions • Volume • Convert measurement units • Classify two-dimensional figures • Graphing

Kagan Structures • Below are just a few examples of cooperative learning structures I will be using to promote engagement and individual accountability. • Rally Coach: Partners take turns solving problems, offering feedback and praise, or coaching the other partner through a problem. • Quiz-Trade: To review a concept, students will quiz each other with premade cards as they mix around the classroom. • Numbered Heads Together: Teams will answer a question independently, share their answers with each other, reach a consensus through coaching and discussion, and then share their answer with the class.
