(Zoom meetings/help sessions. • Be prepared for class. • Find a quiet place, free from distractions (siblings, pets, parents, television, phones, etc. ). • Be aware of your surroundings. • No beds • No messy rooms or open closets • Turn on lights • Do not sit with your back to a window with bright light coming through (you will look like you are in the witness protection program if you do) • Sit up • Use courteous, respectful behavior in both speaking, writing, and appearance. • Dress appropriately. • Don't wear your PJ's • Put on an appropriate shirt and pants • No bedhead-get up and get ready for school

Please click the "raise hand" button or unmute yourself if you would like to ask a question or contribute. • Stay seated and stay present. Use attentive body language and eye contact. • Refrain from eating in front of the camera. • In the chat section please keep conversations on the discussion topic. • Zero tolerance for cheating. • Zero tolerance for Cyberbullying or Bullying of any kind. • REMEMBER, THIS IS A CLASS, SO TREAT IT AS SUCH!

• Set a schedule • Have a consistent schedule for schoolwork. • Best to use same schedule as if you were at school. • Start work the same hour that you used to start class • Use a calendar Virtual Time Management • Personal Calendar on phone and on email or an actual calendar • Plan your daily & weekly assignments, highlighting assignments due, zoom meetings/help sessions • Keep up with today's date • Don't Mulitask • Multitaking can decrease your productivity • Focus on one assignment at a time • Stay Organized • Create To-Do Lists • Set up your Virtual Workspace • Comfortable space with good lights, quite, & clutter free • Sit in a comfortable chair • Have all required materials (device, paper, pens/pencils, stapler, etc) and set up ahead of time to stay on task with coursework

• Block out Distractions Virtual Time Management • Stay Focused-Avoid Snap Chat, Instragram, Twitter, Facebook and other social media tools when you need to concentrate on your course work • If you are struggling to stay focused, try the following technique: • Set a timer for 25 mins & work uninteruppted for the scheduled period • Take a 5 -10 min break to check social media, grab something to drink or do something else • Once you've completed 4 work sessions treat yourself to a longer 15 min break. • Reward Yourself • It's important to reward yourself at the end of the day for a job well done in order to prevent burnout • Treat yourself to something you enjoy, whether it's watching your favorite show on Netflix or playing your favorite video game. • Take Care of Yourself • Get a good night's sleep • Sleep is essential to rest your body and keep your mind fresh for the next day. Try to get 8 – 10 hours of rest a night. • Daily exercise • Get outside and get moving. . . fresh air is key!
