Why AYSO? The Vision of AYSO is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.
What makes AYSO unique? Your kids will develop Many Leadership Skills Self Confidence / Self Esteem / Make Life Long Friends
What makes AYSO unique? The philosophy of the organization is to educate and develop young people by encouraging their interest and participation in soccer through our six philosophies:
AYSO Vision & Mission Statement To develop and provide a quality youth Soccer program to Enrich children's lives in Fun Family Safe Environment based on 6 Philosophies… Ø Everyone Plays Ø Balanced Teams Ø Open Registration Ø Positive Ø Good Coaching Sportsmanship Ø Player Development
Everyone Plays® Our goal is for kids to play soccer – so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.
This includes our VIP -Very Important Players MONTEBELLO CHARGERS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND FINEST VIP PROGRAMS IN CALIFORNIA NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED WE ARE THE 2013 RECIPIENT OF THE VIP ENRICHMENT AWARD
Balanced Teams Each year we form new teams as evenly as possible – because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
Open Registration Our program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.
Positive Coaching Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and bettermotivated players.
Good Sportsmanship We strive to create a safe, fair, fun and positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
Player Development We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as a member of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
Playtime Adventure is an activity program for children ages 3 -4 that will help improve their physical motor-skills, providing a foundation for an active lifestyle and preparing them to participate in sports programs. Adventure combines physical learning with fun and imagination. Your child accompanies Team Adventure to complete action tasks in Adventure Land! The excitement doesn't stop there! By using the Playtime Adventure Activity Storybook, you can continue your childs development at home, reenacting all their favorite Adventures over and over again!
Little Tykes – U 5 What is the U 05 season all about? For the U 05′s, it is a “Jamboree One with One Program” where we have one session per week that includes a warm-up/stretch, drills and we finish every session by playing a 3 v 3 game – yes, the same “game” as the U 6 Division! What is meant by “Jamboree”? It literally means that everyone (parents/players) participate at the same time doing the same thing. The Master Coach demonstrates a specific stretch/training drill and then the parents/players practice it. After some time, they do a different stretch/training drill. Each week, new and exciting drills and group games are introduced by the Master Coach. There also parent/coaches on each field to help guide the players/parents through each session.
Player Development AYSO provides a number of programs that support player development including EXTRA and AYSO Soccer Camps.

AYSO Volunteers: 4 ROLES EACH TEAM NEEDS TO FILL: COACH, ASSISTANT COACH, TEAM PARENT, REFERREE
Help make every game a kids zone! Kids Zone guidelines encourage appropriate sideline behavior – key to promoting a fun, safe, family-friendly environment. Parents and Spectators pledge to respect the tenets of Kids Zone. Coaches, Referees, Parents and Players abide by a Code of Conduct.
Kids Zone Sidelines Spectators agree to respect the following rules: Kids are # 1 Fun, not winning is everything Fans only cheer, only coaches coach No yelling in anger Respect the volunteer referees No swearing No alcohol, tobacco products or other controlled substances No weapons Leave no trash behind Set a proper example of Good Sportsmanship
Code of Conduct: As a parent, you play a special role in contributing to the needs and development of youngsters. Support Your Child Supporting your child by giving encouragement and showing interest in their team is very important. Always be positive. Parents serve as role models for their children. Reinforce Positive Behavior. Remember: Your child wants to have fun. Don’t be a sideline Coach or Referee. That means refrain from coaching and refereeing from the sidelines. In a volunteer organization like AYSO there’s always opportunity to take your interest in coaching or refereeing to the next level and become one yourself!
