The Application Process: When to apply? • Keep in mind that schools generally know how many openings they have for the next school year beginning in March. Apply early! • Full-time currently enrolled in a credential program: ØUp to 3 months before applying for credential to CTC ØTypically, during last student teaching assignment • Full-time w/o credential (Alternative Certification): ØCompleted Bachelor’s degree w min. 2. 7 GPA ØMeet Basic Skills requirement, typically, by passage of CBEST

I’ve submitted my application, what’s next? • Once submitted, you should receive an automated email indicating that the application is complete and has been submitted (new apps only) • Over 10, 000 applications a year received • Applications are processed by anticipated district need and selection criteria and are on file for one calendar year • Once your application is processed, you will receive an email regarding your next steps in the application process
