All About Mrs. Temple • I was a preschool and second grade teacher before I became a special education teacher. • I graduated from Molloy College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. • I graduated from Queen’s College with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. • I am a wife and a mother of three lovely teenagers. • My goal as a teacher is to motivate and encourage my students to learn. I want to provide them with a clean, structured, and loving environment. I want my students to understand that learning can be hard, fun, and rewarding. I want the parents of my students to work with me as a team for their child. I use the daily behavior chart and the “Owl” Happy Happenings as a means of communication. • My goal as a class is for my students to work like a family. I want all my students to respect me as well as their classmates.

Ø Read 20 minutes each night, and record in reading log packet. Parents must sign the log every night. Ø JR book (on their current reading level) Ø Please check their log and sign each night! Ø Due back every day!

Homework • Purpose: to reinforce skills and concepts taught during class – NOT to make you crazy! If too difficult, make attempt and send in note! • Individualized for students • Assigned every night Ø After lunch – copy assignment And pack up • PLANNER… Ø Please sign daily • Check that assignments were complete • Check reminders/tests/quizzes • Check Behavior Chart every night and sign it

Report Card - Trimesters * December 3 rd and 4 th– • March 18 th and 19 th– • June Report Card – given to students the last day of school Progress Reports • Progress Reports will be sent home twice a year. • IEP Progress Reports will be sent home three times a year.
Grading System • 4 = Excellent • 3 = Proficient • 2 = Developing • 1 = Improvement Needed Ø Grades do not only come from tests/quizzes, but from class work and class participation as well.

Hi! I am Mrs. Cosares Hi! I am Mrs. Sendrowitz We are the English as a New Language (ENL) teachers at Meadow School. We work closely with your child’s teacher to provide academic support for our English language learners. Your child will see us working in their class as well as providing services in our room. We are excited to be a part of your child’s classroom family and are looking forward to a successful school year!
