Preparing Your Child For Kindergarten Making the Transition Easier

Parents are your first and most important teachers!

Come by… • Meet your teacher. • See your classroom. • Drop off your supplies.

Make the Big Day a Happy One! • Focus on the positive! • Discuss your child’s concerns. – RR – Lunch – How to find you after school • Start going to bed earlier! – 12 hours of sleep!

On the first day… Make plans for after school.

Registration Requirements We cannot accept partial information. Please have all four of the following documents so that we may enroll your child. • Child’s birth certificate • Child's current shot record • Proof of Residence – Lease – Closing Statement – Utility bill

What’s next? • Student Council 5 th graders will be giving tours of the building. • PTA will help you with school supplies, spirit wear, and PTA membership. • We will make copies of your documents for you. • When you turn in your forms, the nurse will check your immunizations to be sure that your children have everything they need to be ready for school in August.
