School Options ■ 1) Return to School on Hybrid Schedule ■ 2) Duval Homeroom w/school based teachers (must commit to an entire 9 week period) – Students will log on to TEAMS each day at 7: 30 am. – Lessons will be given by live instructors at their scheduled times. – Elective classes will be limited. ■ 3) Full Duval Virtual Instruction Academy (Must Remain in the program the entire school year. )

Daily Attendance ■ School Hours: 7: 30 a. m. -2: 15 p. m. ■ School Supervision is provided from 7: 15 a. m. -2: 30 p. m. ■ Early Dismissal: 7: 30 a. m. -12: 30 p. m. (1 ER Wed. per month) ■ Students need to be in school every day, on time. ■ Instruction starts promptly at 7: 30 a. m. – 7 period schedule (classes) – Each class is 50 minutes ■ 1 st warning bell rings at 7: 25 a. m. ■ If you arrive at 7: 31 a. m. , you are considered late!!
Morning Intake Procedures Students may not arrive on campus before 7: 15 am Students will enter Gate 1 (between the Main Office & Cafeteria) if their 1 st period class is in Bldg. 3, 4, 6, Gym/Band Students will enter Gate 2 (Main Office & Media Center) if their 1 st period class is in Bldg. 5 or the Science Wing) Upon entering the gates, ALL student will report directly to their 1 st period class. Breakfast will be served in the classrooms daily. Breakfast will end at 7: 25 am so that instruction can begin at 7: 30 am.
Covid-19 Procedures ■ All students will have their temperatures checked each day before entering the building. ■ If a student’s temp. is 100. 4 or higher, or they feel sick, the student will be placed in a specific area and will remain there until a parent/guardian pick-up. It is necessary for a parent/guardian to pick them up, if your student is not feeling well. ■ All students must wear masks at all times. ■ Students must follow all social distancing procedures outlined by the school.
After-School Dismissal Procedures Students will report to their designated area or exit the building/campus in a timely manner. Dismissal will begin at approximately 2: 12 pm: 1 st Wave: Car Riders & Walkers (exit through Gate 2 -Main Office & Media Center); Athletes & After-School Learning program students will report immediately to the cafeteria. Athletes will be picked up by their coaches/sponsors from the cafeteria. 2 nd Wave: Bus Riders only (exit through Gate 1 -Main Office & Cafeteria) ■ Car riders must be picked up by 2: 30 pm. There is no adult supervision in front of the school after 2: 30 pm. ■ Once exited, students are not allowed to re-enter the building through any other part of the building. All students must leave the campus immediately if they are not in a supervised activity.

ID Badges ■ All students are required to wear their school ID badges with a lanyard around their necks each day: ■ Safety ■ Lunch ■ Textbooks ■ ID Badges – The first one provided is free – The 1 st replacement cost a $1 – All other replacements- $5 each *Do not deface or destroy your ID’s. If you do, it will be confiscated and you will be responsible for replacing it. Remember your school ID is a part of your uniform!
Lunch Services ■ All students will be provided a free breakfast and lunch every day. ■ No Lunch Application is Needed. ■ We will social distance as much as possible during lunch.

Electronic Devices ■ Cell Phones, i. Pods, Tablets, etc. ■ The electronic device MUST be: – Switched OFF – OUT OF SIGHT and SECURED in a deep pocket, purse or book bag ■ School is required to confiscate the device ■ Parents, PLEASE do not text or call your student’s cell phone during the school day! ■ ONLY a Parent or Legal Guardian can pick up a confiscated device (NOTE: Electronic devices are confiscated the 1 st time it is made visible) NOTE: If a student has a DCPS laptop, they are encouraged to bring them to school each day.

Middle School Promotion Requirement (6 -8) To Grade Course Requirements 7 th Grade Successfully complete three or more 6 th grade core courses 8 th Grade Successfully complete three or more 7 th grade core courses and recover core courses not passed in 6 th grade, if applicable 9 th grade Successfully complete all four 8 th grade core courses and recover core courses not passed in 7 th grade, if applicable

Immunizations ■ All 7 th grade students are required to have a TDAP vaccine and provide proof ■ If they do not have the vaccine after the first 30 days of the start of school year, they will be NOT be allowed to attend school until they have their TDAP vaccine immunization.

Applications and Student Emergency Information ■ All applications for various programs, athletics, clubs and additional student information sheet (blue cards, medical documentation forms, etc. ) will be sent home with students during the 1 st week of school. ■ Students must return information to their 1 st period teacher.
Parent and Visitor’s Policy 1) All parents and visitors must wear a mask upon entering the building. 2) Temperatures will be checked upon entering the building for all visitors. 3) Only one parent/legal guardian per student allowed in the building. (Other family members or friends are not allowed inside of the building). 4) No kids will be allowed in the building except students that attend RMS. 5) No more than 3 parents/visitors will be allowed inside of the main office at once. 6) Parents/visitors will be allowed in front office, main office or guidance conference rooms only. 7) Due to COVID-19 safety measures, volunteers are not allowed on campus.
Thank You for Participating! The 1 st day of school for Hybrid 6 th and 7 th grade students is Thursday, August 20 th! The 1 st day of school for Hybrid 8 th grade students is Friday, August 21 st! Duval Home Room students will remain at home!
