Introduction : Freestyle skating is about : Freestyle Slalom, Speed Slalom, High Jump, Free Jump. Further information are available on our website : www. ifsasport. com in order to understand our sport and our championship.
Our very aim is freestyle skating sports development all over the world. - Local and National competition Freestyle Skating started some 15 years ago. The sport did evoluate where associations and federations gave a structure for sport development. - Independant competitions needed to get linked one to another, giving our sports a stronger identity. Fostering competitor’s willing. - Freestyle skating development is very different from one country to another. Same challenges had to be faced every where. Therefore we worked for this common project, and finally created the IFSA.
IFSA has been organising IFSA Championship for 3 years now : 2003 : Lausanne (Switzerland) + 4 qualifications 2004 : Amsterdam (Nederlands) + 5 qualifications 2005 : Saint-Médard (France) + 6 qualifications IFSA is growing up fast, because international skaters are yearning to compete : - 6 IFSA competitions 2005 (Russia, Spain, England, France, China, France) - 3 IFSA judge courses (France, Singapore, China). - 226 skaters took part to 2005 IFSA championship representing 13 countries. - 2006 forecast sounds good, many competitions are expected, next judge course is planned. Therefore our internal organisation is including more and more people, in order to meet the demand of freestyle skaters and competition organisations. Human ressources is a great challenge, especially about association ’s topics world-wide.
