Counselor Connections • Parents should email the teachers FIRST with questions regarding their classroom and grades. • COUNSELOR APPOINTMENTS: • Parents wanting to speak with their child’s counselor need to make an appointment. Appointments are on Mondays and Thursdays, 8: 30 -10: 00 and are scheduled only for a half hour. • Students wanting to speak with their counselor need to fill out a counseling slip found in the counseling hallway. • EMERGENCIES: These parents do NOT need an appointment: If there is an issue of safety please come to the front office to see a counselor.

Please drop off curbside and them pull over to exit. ** • When visiting the front office for counseling, health clerk, attendance clerk or the administration offices you can park in the front parking lot. • Fences are unlocked around campus in the morning for entry. After the tardy bell rings all gates are locked and you must enter through the front office.

Loitering at the park or Nob Hill before and after school is discouraged, especially on late-start mornings. Supervision starts 15 minutes before and ends 10 minutes after school. Students are expected to respect the neighborhood and neighbors’ yards. Climbing on school fences will result in a Friday School.

Tardy to School • Tardy students need a pass to enter school if they arrive late. • Unexcused tardies will result in a corrective action. • State law only allows excused tardies for doctor/dentist appointments or illness.

However, you must have signed contract for cell phone use on the Herman campus. • Cell phones must be off and out of sight during class time. • Parents: If you need to reach your student during the school day, please call the school directly. • Violation of the school cell phone contract will result in corrective action by administration. After the 3 rd time, phones are kept until the last day of school. • We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged phones.

All you need is your child’s student ID number. Approval takes 24 hours. The site is updated weekly with events, grades, emails, etc. • The first few weeks of school are very busy in the front office and in counseling with new student enrollments. Email is the best way to communicate with the office staff, counseling and administration. • We can not accommodate walk-in meetings for counseling and administration. We would be happy to schedule an appointment for you. For an appointment with administration, please call or email the front office.
