Develop the following Mathematical Practices ¡ ¡ ¡ ¡ Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. Model with mathematics. Use appropriate tools strategically. Attend to precision. Look for and make use of structure. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

Homework ¡ ¡ ¡ Yes, they really do have it everyday. It won’t all be in the book. There a few rare exceptions. When in doubt, check the website. We practice to solidify our skills, determine what we still need to work on, and to develop mastery. Late work will be completed in Saturday School.

What can you do to help your child be successful in math this year? ¡ ¡ Encourage them to ask questions if they don’t understand or if they are confused. Monitor homework completion. Touch base with your child frequently to know when they should be studying for quizzes and tests, etc. Let me know immediately if there is any kind of issue or concern.
