Reflection Questions � 2 topics for reflection � Topics are based on student research and exploration beyond the textbook � 50 points each � Rubrics are provided for scoring assistance � Use a word processing program and upload your document to the Digital Drop Box
Discussion Board Topics � 2 topics will be covered during the semester – 50 points each � Discussions require inquiry beyond the textbook readings � Rubrics are provided for scoring assistance � Be sure to post your initial thoughts long before the assignment deadlines, in order to engage in meaningful discussions with your classmates.
Field Observations � 15 hours of field observations are required for EDF 1005. � These hours may not be used for another education course. � You will have a specific set of tasks for the Field Observations assignments. Each assignment task is worth 60 points each. � Please review the Camtasia Field Observation Instructions Power Point Presentation for specific details.
Background Checks for Field Observations � ALL students are required to take individual actions before entrance into the schools to complete the Field Observation assignments. � Please go through the Camtasia Background Check Power Point Presentation for instructions.
Lesson Plan and Microteach � You will develop a unique lesson plan over the course of the semester. � Several smaller formative tasks will be assigned in order to learn how to develop a lesson plan. � Extensive support through Camtasia videos, Power Point Presentations, sample lesson plans, and weekly online office hours will be provided. � Detailed feedback on your formative assignments will allow you to create a comprehensive lesson plan.
Lesson Plan and Microteach � Four ◦ ◦ formative assignments Developing a rationale statement Determining the Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) Assessment techniques and rubrics Procedures for teaching a lesson plan � Once you have learned the individual pieces of a lesson plan, you will put the pieces together in your Final Lesson Plan.
The Microteach � Provides an opportunity for you to teach the lesson plan that was developed over the course of the semester. � Please review the Camtasia Microteach Power Point Presentation for further details.
