-Students are to read 15 minutes every night from a book that is on their reading level. -We will send home a homework folder every Thursday night. This folder is to be returned back to school on Tuesday. -Inside the folder, will be one grade level passage and two writing responses. Have your child read the passage to you. If it is too difficult, you may read it with them. -We feel writing about reading is essential to our students success with reading comprehension! We will attach a rubric to the passages so everyone understands the expectation for written responses. THANK YOU for your continued support at home.
Report Cards Our K-2 Report Card format has changed! You will no longer see ranges like 1, 2, 3, and 4. The new ranges are as follows: developing, progressing, mastering, exemplary mastery.
